Chevrolet

Chevrolet is one of America’s most recognized automotive brands, founded in 1911 and operated as a division of General Motors, headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. Known for producing vehicles across a wide range of categories — from entry-level sedans to full-size trucks and performance cars — Chevrolet has become one of the most significant American brands in the shift to electric vehicles.

GM’s electric vehicle ambitions are largely carried by Chevrolet in the mainstream market. The Bolt EV, introduced in 2016, was one of the first affordable long-range electric vehicles available in the US and helped democratize EV ownership beyond the luxury segment. After a brief hiatus, the Bolt returned in updated form as one of the most value-oriented EVs on the market.

More recently Chevrolet has expanded significantly with the Equinox EV — one of the most anticipated mainstream EVs in years — and the Silverado EV pickup, targeting the high-demand electric truck segment. The brand has also produced the Blazer EV, broadening its electric SUV offerings.

Chevrolet vehicles are sold through GM’s extensive dealership network across the United States. The brand competes directly with Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and Tesla in the mainstream EV market, offering competitive range and value at multiple price points.
