I own a 2014 Chevy Volt with all the bells and whistles. Well I began noticing some software issues and I'm not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Issues I'm experiencing are a 'Navigation Initializing' message for about 30 seconds after startup, 'Calculating Route' not going away and freezing my whole screen (was literally on my screen for 20 minutes until i turned off the car), issues with voice commands such as saying 'Directed Address' becuase it doesn't recognize the command but if I go through the HELP menu like the lady asks it will then rcognize the command, traffic being displayed intermittently on 1 mile view and if I zoom out to 2 mile view -which I prefer- it will give me MAYBE one freeway worth of traffic (and never the freeway I need). I took the Volt in for servicing to get this squared away and they told me that there was a software update that would fix all of it. Well it didn't work. He then told me that there was no fix for the my model/year at this time and I was stuck with it until GM released a new update. I've tried emailing and tweeting GM and have gotten no response. I don't appreciate dropping $39k for the vehicle to not do what I've rightfully paid for.
