For dealerships the immediate money concern might be that they are more reliable, they are a little but they aren't perfect. This is where dealerships can make their money, companies like Renault offer 4 and Kia up to 10 years of warranty and servicing. A dealership can claim the cost of spares and manhours against that warranty meaning that you receive a good reason to always get your EV faults fixed.
Lastly however there's a problem in that you need to send your existing engineers/technicians/mechanics away to do EV specific courses which take time and money and this has put a sad face on many an operations director when they realise they have to lose workers to go do a course to learn about EVs.
