Yes I'm aware of the software recall.
I haven't received any notices from GM yet but after I saw your question I did send an email to the service manager at my local Chevy dealer to see if my car is part of this recall or not. If my car is part of the recall I'll schedule it for work. I imagine it'll take a couple hours to download and apply the software to the car. Since it's a recall there shouldn't be a cost for me, and I think if someone had paid for this repair already GM will reimburse them for the repairs.
