I have heard it is not good at present. Not due to any problems with the cars, but to the anticipation and expectations of greater range on new electric models. For this reason, I would say to only lease an EV right now. Normally, buying and keeping a long time is the best car strategy from a financial perspective, for most people. But EV's will have MUCH better batteries and range within only 5 years or less, so buying will get you stuck with a shorter range, less valuable car - UNLESS there are manufacturer or aftermarket battery upgrades available in the future at a sensible price. If that happens, then all bets are off. In the future, a ten year old EV might get new life (and maybe triple the range!) with an aftermarket battery. If this becomes possible, then used EV's might become a very good deal indeed!
